MUIZENBERG!!!!!

Ok guys a lot happened in the first week so I'm going to do a few posts here and there about random topics. Starting with where I live.

Right now I am currently living in Muizenberg, it's about 30 minutes away from Capetown by taxi. Its a cute little neighbourhood with a beautiful beach that is filled with lots of rainbow houses. It has an amazing surf community and is one of the best beaches for new surfers. There is a fruit market that has the freshest fruit and it is all so cheap! A box of grapes here is a dollar! There are also quite a few cafés that are very cheap and delicious! I can get a gourment sandwich for $2.50.

I share a house with 11 other volunteers, its a bit hard fighting for the one shower but I think we're getting a schedule going. We have 5 girls from China, a girl from Spain, one other fellow Canadian and the rest are from Australia. Its pretty awesome meeting people from almost every continent who are interested in volunteering.

Anyways theres way more that I want to share with you and I'll get around to it I promise!

Till next time,

Brandon

The Beginning!

Finally flying today!! I am beyond excited, slightly nervous considering I have never traveled on my own...But overall I am stoked. So I will be staying in South Africa for three weeks and then traveling across Japan for five weeks. I will try to keep posted here but I have been told I will not have much internet access in the volunteer house I am staying at South Africa.

I am doing this trip because my blood craves adventure! My mind is kind of like a kid with ADHD, racing back and fourth from one idea to the other. I hate being put in a box, which is probably why I was so unhappy in high school. I love living in a world that is full of possibilities and wonder. I know this sounds like some Disney crap but what can I say; I'm a man trapped in fiction.

I really have no idea where this blog will go but that's half the fun not knowing where things are going. If you are reading this and are slightly interested in what is going to happen next. Thank you for being a part of the journey.

Until next time.

Cheers,

Brandon
